Racial Abuse
To all club secretaries, T&DJFL:
Let’s kick racism into touch
League position on racial abuse for the benefit of existing member and new club’s/teams.
Racial abuse has in the past been reported to the management committee. This particular practice is both immoral and a criminal offence. These incidents have over the years decreased in number which is extremely good news for everyone associated with our League, however, last season yet another report of racial abuse was raised which was extremely disappointing to say the least. The management committee will take any action necessary to ensure that the T&DJFL is free of any racial abuse.
It is important that all members recognise the implications of any racial abuse given by players’, officials, or spectators, of their respective clubs.
Severe penalties will be levied at individuals and clubs who contravene the above which could include dismissal from the League.
I thank the member clubs who follow good practice for their help and understanding on this matter. We need to maintain this within the T&DJFL. Please remind all your club officials, players and supporters re this matter.
Have a successful and sporting season.
